The La Gloria Cubana Británicas Extra is a highly collectible 2017 Regional Edition crafted exclusively for the United Kingdom market through official distributor Hunters & Frankau. Rolled in limited quantities of just 6,000 numbered slide-lid boxes of 10, each cigar showcases the master craftsmanship of Cuba’s most skilled torcedores via a demanding 137 mm by 48 ring gauge double-figurado shape. The release pays homage to heritage and tradition, dressed with both the classic silver-and-burgundy Exclusivo Gran Bretaña secondary band and a meticulously recreated, archival Victorian-style primary band revived from Havana’s historic vaults. Containing long-filler tobaccos harvested entirely from the renowned Vuelta Abajo zone in Pinar del Río, it represents a rare, visually striking fusion of traditional Cuban rolling artistry and British cigar history.

The cigar opens with an elegant, airy bouquet of fragrant cedar, sweet dried flowers, and blanched almond. As the burn moves past the tapered foot into the wide belly, the profile deepens into toasted brioche, subtle white pepper, and light citrus zest, underpinned by a creamy honey sweetness. The final third builds gentle richness—adding notes of roasted coffee bean and warm nutmeg without ever tipping into harshness—leaving a clean, aromatic, and lingering floral-wood finish.
