Crafted by Maison Ferrand master blender Alexandre Gabriel, Plantation Original Dark is a rich, versatile double-aged Caribbean rum. The blend combines full-bodied, ester-rich unaged and aged pot-still rums from Jamaica with smooth 1-to-3-year-old column and pot-still rums from Barbados. The aged portion undergoes initial maturation in ex-bourbon barrels in the Caribbean before being transported to France, where the final blend rests for 3 to 6 months in toasted French oak Ferrand Cognac casks at Château de Bonbonnet. Bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl presentation, it presents a deep mahogany color and a smooth, robust profile designed for classic tiki cocktails and dark rum serves.
